What's wrong with your window?
Pick what you're seeing. We'll tell you what it usually means and how we fix it.
Foggy glass
What it usually means
Fog or haze between the panes means the seal has failed and the insulating gas has leaked out. It won't wipe off, and the window insulates less than it should.
The fix
Depending on the window, we replace the sealed glass unit or the whole window, and we'll tell you which makes sense.

Sashes that stick, won't stay up or won't lock are often caused by worn balances, swollen wood or frames painted shut. A window that won't open is also a safety problem in an emergency.
The fix
New windows that open smoothly, tilt in for cleaning and lock properly. Some single windows can be repaired, and we will check.
Soft, cracked or peeling wood around the window means water has been getting in, often for a while. The damage can spread into the wall.
The fix
We remove the old window, repair the opening and flash it properly before the new window goes in. A full-frame replacement is usually the right call here.

Not sure which window style? See the six styles
Most homes use a mix. We'll help you pick the right style for each opening.
Double-hung
Both sashes slide up and down, and most tilt in for cleaning. The classic fit for colonials, bedrooms and most living spaces.
Casement
Hinged on the side and cranks outward, sealing tightly on all four sides when closed. Great for hard-to-reach spots and catching a breeze.
Slider
Sashes glide side to side, with no swing room needed. A good fit for wide openings, ranches and basements.
Picture
A fixed window that doesn't open, with the most glass and the clearest view. Often paired with casements on either side.
Bay
Three windows angled out from the wall, usually a picture window between two operating windows. Adds light, space and a spot for a seat.
Awning
Hinged at the top and opens outward, so it can stay open in light rain. Common over sinks and above or below other windows.

Windows & Doors questions
Can you replace just one foggy or broken window?
Yes. Fog between the panes means the seal has failed. Depending on the window, we can replace the glass or the whole unit, and we'll tell you which makes sense.
How much do replacement windows cost?
Most whole-home window replacement projects in Southeast PA fall between $15,000 and $30,000+. The biggest factors are the number of windows, sizes, operating styles, glass packages, colors and whether any openings require structural or trim work.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer financing options. Ask about monthly payment options at your free estimate.
Vinyl or fiberglass: which is right for my home?
Vinyl like the Viwinco Cambridge is efficient, low-maintenance and budget-friendly. Fiberglass with a wood interior, like Marvin Elevate, costs more but is stronger, holds dark colors better and brings real wood inside. We'll show you both.
What is an insert replacement?
An insert window fits into your existing window frame, so your siding and interior trim stay in place. It's usually faster and less disruptive than a full-frame replacement. We'll tell you which your home needs.
Will new windows lower my energy bills?
Replacing old single-pane or failing windows with low-E, argon-filled glass typically improves comfort and efficiency. Results depend on your home, so we don't promise specific savings.
How long does window installation take?
Most window projects take one to a few days depending on the number of windows. Because windows are custom-made to your measurements, there's a manufacturing lead time first, and we'll give you both dates up front.
What kinds of doors do you install?
Entry doors, sliding patio doors, hinged and French patio doors, and storm doors, in a wide range of styles, materials and finishes. There are a lot of options, so we start by learning what you like and how you use the door, then bring choices that fit your home and budget.
Fiberglass or steel for an entry door?
Fiberglass resists dents and can be finished to look like real wood, so it's a great all-around choice. Steel is strong and budget-friendly. We'll show you both and help you decide.
Do you measure the windows?
Yes. We measure every opening ourselves before ordering, so your windows fit right the first time.
